The affiliate program through Amazon is one of the most put together program I've ever worked with. It's easy to sign-up, its free and you can really make some nice cash as an Amazon Associate. You'll earn about 4% commission to start. Once you have made 7 referrals you'll be upgraded to 6% commission.
Best time to campaign are the holiday's from October-December. Amzn allows you to promote in any way you see fit so long as you DO NOT claim to to work for them in any capacity. Doing this will cause them to deactivate your account immediately.
